“For those 30 seconds I was terrified” – Melissa’s story

While I was walking through Dupont Circle, I was catcalled by various men. One man started following me down the street, saying “Hey Baby” and asked me if I was lost. After ignoring him, he eventually gave up, but for those 30 seconds I was terrified that something was going to happen and no one was going to do anything about it.
This post is part of a slew of stories we gathered at Otakon, held this past weekend at the Baltimore Convention Center. We will share a story a day, all leading up to our video premiere of interviews and pictures taken with attendees. Thanks again everyone for sharing!
