February 12th – Website Launch Party at Metro Gallery w/War On Women, Thrushes, Luce Tomlin-Brenner & Me and This Army. See pictures!

March 5thWomen’s History Month book-signing event. Meet the authors @ Avenue Antiques in Hampden, 12pm – 5pm. They will be giving away Hollaback Bmore! bookmarks!

March 10th – We’ll see our sister Hollabacker from SoCal, Shira Terrant, speak at Sexfest 2011 @ Towson University, 5:30pm. The event is an all-day free romp at University Union. Hollaback Bmore! will lead a discussion on street harassment at 4pm. See pictures!

March 20th – Community Meeting on Street Harassment @ Baltimore Free School to commemorate International Anti-Street Harassment Day! 3pm – 6pm. Childcare provided on-site by Kidz City. See pictures!

March 31st – Come watch ‘Don’t Need You: The Herstory of Riot Grrrl‘ at Red Emma’s 2640 Space. All proceeds go towards ClitFest DC 2011. We’ll have a freebies table, too. Suggested $5 donation, 7pm. Here’s a couple pictures!

April 1st – All April Fools Day 10% of every purchase at Sugar (Baltimore’s Best Adult Shop) goes directly to Hollaback Bmore! No really, it’s not a joke. Join me from 6pm-9pm to discuss friendly and sex-positive interactions between genders.

April 7th – We’ll be speaking at Take Back the Night at Goucher College about gender-based violence in all forms, 7pm. Here are pictures!

April 12th – Join us as we Take Back The Night with TurnAround and Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake at Baltimore City Hall, 6:30pm. Check out pictures from the night and the flyer!

April 15th – Enjoy a local, organic meal for $10 with proceeds going to a few local non-profits dedicated to social justice (including Hollaback Bmore!) while we all chat and do a little show-and-tell! Sounds fun and delicious and it is called STEW. 7pm at Baltimore Open City.

April 20th – FREE screening of The Line, a short documentary film that asks – where is the line defining consent? Told through a “sex-positive” lens. Red Emma’s Bookstore 7pm, for Sexual Assault Awareness Month #saam. Q&A to follow.

April 29thHollaback Bmore! will be the featured guest for tonight’s first ever Speaker Series at Charm City Art Space, 7pm. Check out our flyer and pictures.

May 21st – Anti-Hate Prom: Dance the Hate Away! at the Windup Space. What better way to celebrate Int’l Day Against Homophobia? The GLCCB, Hollaback Bmore! and the Den encourage you to wear what you would have worn to prom if there were no hate, no judgment and no fear. At Anti-Hate Prom you are free. June 14th – Town Hall Meeting on Homelessness in the Transgender Community. Check out this article about the meeting.

June 22nd – Join us at the Spark of a New Women’s Rights Movement discussion and share your ideas, frustrations, resources – whatever! Let’s build a new wave equality and not take any more b.s. this summer! First Unitarian Church, 7-9pm.

June 30th – Exclusive screening of the Den‘s “It Gets Better, Baltimore” video short. Hear LGBTQ community members share their story in order to decrease suicide. @ the GLCCB, 6-8pm.

July 17Artscape! The Baltimore Free School is hosting a lecture series during Artscape and Hollaback Bmore! has been invited to participate. From 2pm to 2:30 (don’t be late!) we’ll have a talk and take questions.

August 26th – Gender EDGE event at CCAS for BiMA fest. Join us for an awesome night of empowerment and gender-queer art!

Sept. 16National Sexual Assault Conference. Reps from Hollaback Bmore!, DC, NYC and Philly! spoke about cities are “Combating Public Sexual Harassment and Assault, Online and Off”

Sept. 17 Slutwalk Baltimore noon to 3pm, Inner Harbor to City Hall. By now you’ve heard all about the reason for this global movement. We will be walking with our fellow Baltimoreans to assert a womyn’s right to dress how she pleases without fear of assault. Check out our pictures!

Sept. 18 – Participants needed for a Street Harassment focus group. Led by a senior at Goucher, this focus group will help her write a thesis on how women respond to street harassment. Her particular focus women who live in Baltimore. To take part in the group, or to ask questions, please contact laurel DOT long AT mail DOT goucher DOT edu. Date and time tbd.

September 28 – Open Discussion “SlutWalk and the Resistance to Sexism” on what is next in the women’s movement. All are welcome. First Unitarian Church, Hamilton entrance. 7pm. Email [email protected] for more information.

October 9 – “Dear 99%: Don’t leave 50% behind.” Join us at 11am for an Occupy Baltimore forum on the current state of Women’s Inequality in the home, the street and the workplace. We’ll be asking what comes next in the struggle for Dignity, Liberty & Equality. McKeldin Fountain located on the corner of Pratt Street and Light Street in Downtown Baltimore.

October 23 – Womyn Only Self Defense Classall womyn are welcome! 1-4 pm, details on this sharable flyer! It will kick your booty into shape!

November 9 – The Power Project at St. Francis Neighborhood Center. We have been named a Power Player! We’ll be sharing what we do and why with some awesome young people.

November 19 – Transgender Day of Celebration. Food, workshops, resources and fun! We will lead the “Street Harassment in the Transgender Community” breakaway session. Enoch Pratt Parish Hall of the First Unitarian Church. Here is the official website with a full schedule, event is 11am to 6:30pm.
